Our primary mandate is to foster horsemanship among riders of all ages and to provide a safe, fun family orientated atmosphere for riders and horses!

Team Penning

Team Penning is Friday nights starting at 8 (supper and setup by 7) Cost is 375 adult yearly membership, 200 youth.  Adult has option of half year for 200.00.  For RRRR members, drop in fee is 20.00, up to 5 times (then membership is required and the drop ins count toward that cost.) For non-members there is the 15.00 arena use fee making the total 35.00.  Once a month we have competitive penning practice on a Sunday. 

 

Our Sanction Penning is April 28th and 29th.  Entry is $30 a run, steak ticket included for each penner, extra steak tickets available for $20.  Registration will be from 9-10am first run at 11am.

Team Sorting

Team Sorting runs every other Sunday.  Dates as follows Jan 29; Feb 12, 26; March 11, 25; Apr 8, 22 etc.  Set up is at 6, sorting starts around 7.  It is a big set up so everyone is encouraged to help out!  Two large round pens are set up and the cattle are sorted by a team of two through the gate in the center in numbered order.  Member price is $20 for 6 runs, $35 for non-members.  For more info call Grant 1-780-812-6128
 

Team Roping

SHF RULE: Any one under the age of 18 yrs
MUST wear a helmet while handling horses on the ground and while riding.
